New Zealand and Asia


Description

An exploration of the interrelationships between Asia and New Zealand, including Asia's growing presence in New Zealand in all its manifestations, to develop a critical understanding of the evolving political, social, economic, cultural and strategic relations between this country and Asia. The teaching is interdisciplinary, covering a range of topics including historical and contemporary ties with Asia, Asian migration, literature, media and film. The course will focus especially on East Asia and South East Asia.
