Classical Mythology through Tragedy


Description

This course studies the mythology of ancient Greece and Rome and its use in tragedies by Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides. A strong emphasis will be the way a study of myth helps to develop an understanding of the values of the society that produced it. All texts will be studied in English translation.
