Advanced French Language 2

Description

Further extends students' French language skills through textual and audiovisual material, enabling them to attain a high level of oral and written proficiency.

Objectives
Features of the French language will be presented, in French, and practised in the four skills areas of reading, listening, speaking and writing; by the end of the course, in order to obtain a pass grade, students will be able, in French, to:

  • Demonstrate a competent working knowledge of vocabulary, language structures and cultural content covered both in Alter Ego 4 weekly topics and in supplementary authentic documents studied (newscasts, texts, songs, films);
  • Present a sustained oral and written argument, write the synopsis of an authentic text, and produce a creative piece of writing; and
  • Demonstrate overall language proficiency equivalent to DELF B2+.
