Explores definitions of narrative and story as used in the field of applied linguistics, specifically in language teaching and learning. Examples of narrative research are examined and participants will produce and analyse their own written and spoken narrative data. Various methods of data collection are introduced and analytical approaches which take into account the form of narratives, their content and the contexts in which they are constructed are covered.
