Description

Provides an introduction to the basic ideas and concepts in the design of research in applied linguistics. It covers the writing of a proposal, ethical issues in research and managing the research process, as well as criteria for evaluating the quality of research. Primarily it aims to prepare students to write a dissertation or thesis, but it is also valuable as an elective for all students who wish to gain a broader understanding of research in the field.
