Second Language Classroom Research

Description
Examines research that has investigated classroom language teaching and learning. Considers a variety of theoretical perspectives that have addressed such issues as the nature of second language classroom discourse, teacher talk, learner talk, task-based interaction, interaction and L2 learning, the role of formal instruction and of individual learner differences in mediating the effects of instruction. Provides students with an opportunity to design their own study of the L2 classroom.
