Exploration of a number of topics: nature of grammaticalisation: the development of grammatical elements from lexical sources and the development of new grammatical functions from existing grammatical functions; recurrent grammaticalisation pathways: sources and targets; grammatical polysemies; directionality of change; is grammaticalisation a unique type of language change?
