Advanced Documentary Directing

Description

Students are required to complete a 10-12 minute documentary. The lecturer functions like an executive producer, overseeing and critiquing the documentaries as they progress. Emphasis is placed on aesthetic and formal approaches to the documentary. Students will present a treatment, a paper-edit, a rough cut and a completed documentary by the end of the semester.

Class limits for 2017: Enrolment is limited to 15 students, with selection based on eligibility for admission to a postgraduate programme in Screen Production and the qualitative evaluation of Portfolio submitted.
