Islam: Faith, History and Contemporary Challenges


Description

This course explores the development and evolution of Islam. It critically examines key theological, philosophical, legal, and cultural concepts, alongside the major challenges facing contemporary Islam, such as, feminism, gender and sexual identity, AI, evolution, secularism, geo-politics, and Te Ao Maori. Through in-depth analysis of texts and case studies, students will engage with current debates shaping the Muslim world today.
