Indigenous Food Security 


Description

As food insecurity threatens worldwide, food sovereignty is an important discourse for tangata whenua and Indigenous peoples. This course integrates anthropological and Matauranga Maori concepts through traditional and contemporary settings demonstrating the importance of food and ancestral food systems. We explore Indigenous food movements, global food politics and local strategies for safeguarding the production, distribution, and consumption of Indigenous foods
