Insider Histories
Description
Considers histories from 'the inside', related debates about oral histories and oral history practice. Uses Maori histories as case studies to explore the use of oral sources and issues of subjectivity, offering practical historical research and analytical skills. Topics include: the nature of and problems with oral and other sources, balancing textual and oral sources, writing from a subject position.
