Description

Humans are social and cultural beings. This course introduces the diverse ways in which people live their lives and understand the world around them, as well as key anthropological concepts. Topics include the arts, cultural identities, economics, embodiment, gender and sexuality, globalisation, indigeneity, inequality, kinship and marriage, power, politics and conflict, race and racism, religion and worldview. We draw upon global and historical cross-cultural case materials.
