Description

A survey of globalised popular music styles, artists and subcultures that explores contexts of culture, identity, politics, the music industry, gender, film and technology. Core theory and writers in popular music studies are introduced and a range of pop musics are examined looking at lyrics, music videos, history, audiences and performers.
