Special Topic: Origins of Civilisation
The course investigates societies that shifted from hunter gathering to the use of domesticated plants and animals during the last 10,000 years. Examples draw on my research interests in Australia and Egypt as well as the archaeology of the Levant, Mediterranean and the Americas.
