Asian Identities


Description

An exploration of the changing and contested nature of identity in modern Asia through readings of seminal scholarship and theory and their application to specific experience in a range of socio-cultural contexts in Asia. The main areas of experience include nationalism, gender, religion and minority and their representation in a range of popular cultural texts including film, performance art and popular magazines.
