Beginning Modern Chinese 1

Description

Designed to provide basic written and spoken skills in modern standard Chinese (Mandarin, Putonghua, Guoyu, Hanyu, Huayu) for students without previous knowledge of the language. By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate orally in Chinese on simple topics of everyday life, to read simple texts written in Chinese characters and to write about 300 Chinese characters. Students will be required to attend one stream of lectures five days a week (check nDeva).
