Description

The course introduces students an overview and analysis of the theory, research and practice of TCFL (teaching Chinese as a foreign language) as a discipline worldwide. Through assigned readings, lectures, discussions and projects, the students are expected to master the basic theories of TCFL, to understand the nature of the Chinese language from the pedagogical perspective. The development and implementation of Chinese language learning in NZ will also be discussed.
