Description
The main objective of this course is to involve students in their own learning and to become familiar with the practice of translation practice. The course will focus on providing students with an overview of the translation of different types of translation material, including both commercial and technical examples. It will also focus on raising awareness as a translator through the setting of a theoretical framework and practising translation using actual texts. Furthermore, the course will encourage students to study decision-making processes in which both the source text and the target text are able to be viewed simultaneously. In addition, the translation rendered should be a final product that is the result of careful thought and thorough discussion.
