Description

This is an intensive, three-four week course focused on the history and archaeology of the ancient city of Rome. The course will involve a rigorous program of visits to the sites, monuments and museums of ancient Rome and its environs, in addition to excursions to sites like Tarquinia and Praeneste, along with Pompeii and Herculaneum in the Bay of Naples.

The aim of the course is to provide a stimulating exploration into the history, archaeology, art and architecture of the city of Rome, in addition to allowing students to experience, first-hand, the vibrant culture of Europe’s "Eternal City".

Class limits information for 2020. Enrolment is limited with selection based on a holistic assessment of applicants, which includes consideration of major, GPA, ancient language (especially Greek and Latin) competency and a personal statement.
