German Language Introductory 1

Description
Written and oral use of German for students who have no previous knowledge of the language or who have fewer than 16 credits in Level 2 NCEA German. The approach is communicative, with German used wherever possible as the language of instruction. The course aims to provide students with a sound basic knowledge of spoken and written German. Prepares students for the Goethe Institut’s “Start Deutsch” certificate.
NB: enrolment is limited to 17 students in Summer School, 90 students in Semester 1 and 55 students in Semester 2, with admission on a first-come, first-enrolled basis.
