Description

Building on the basic linguistic knowledge gained in the introductory course, e.g. GERMAN 213, this course focuses on 3 linguistic fields and deepens the understanding of the recent and current linguistic situation in the German speaking area: sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and language acquisition. From these 3 angles, we will analyse the past and current linguistic situation in the German speaking area against the backdrop of current linguistic theory concerning these issues.

The course language is German.
