Who Built America?: Working People’s History of the USA


Description

A survey of the USA since the Early Republic from "the bottom up". Challenging traditional narratives, it examines the experiences of working people and how they have shaped (and been shaped by) politics, culture and economic development. Themes include matters of class, gender and race; slavery; industrialisation and deindustrialisation; labour conflict and organisation; culture and community; politics and state.
