Intermediate Italian Language 1

Please note: this is archived course information from 2012 for ITALIAN 200.

This second-year language course follows and builds on the first-year courses ITALIAN 106 and 107, again seeking a balance between the communicative and structural elements of language learning. It aims to build proficiency in the main skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and to expand your cultural knowledge of contemporary Italy through a wide range of authentic material (eg, articles, statistics, music, videoclips, news). The course is divided into thematic units which will enable you to increase your language proficiency and review and learn grammar while mastering a definite body of skills and vocabulary.
