Description
Highlights Italy’s distinctive film tradition from the post-World War II period to the present through the examination of a variety of film genres and filmmakers. This course considers the sources, complexities and resonances of these films and the ways in which they refer to historical, social and political issues as well as to cinematic conventions. This course is designed for Italian majors and minors, and will require work in the Italian language.
