Description
As a continuation of KOREAN 111, this course is designed for students who have passed KOREAN 111 or have acquired language competence through a stay or exchange in a Korean-speaking country.
It aims to expand students’ communicative skills in modern Korean to an intermediate level. The course is designed for students to achieve this through active participation in diverse activities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, which incorporate further grammar points and vocabulary together with distinctive aspects of Korean culture.
Objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Carry out a conversation and a discussion on much broader topics of daily life using appropriate speech levels
- Comprehend intermediate-level Korean texts
- Write about their own everyday life
