Managing Research Projects

Description

An introduction to managing independent research projects in political science. Students will learn, among other things, about proposal writing, how to do literature reviews, how to design research and aspects of project management. This is a discussion-based course where assessment is based primarily on the quality of the weekly work. There is no large essay or final exam. This popular course is recommended as preparation for all graduate-level research.

NB: enrolment is limited to 30 students, with selection criteria as follows: 1) admission to the Master of Public Policy; 2) admission to a postgraduate programme in Political Studies; 3) results in previous tertiary study in relevant subjects.
