Politics-Policy Internship

Description

Offers selected students the opportunity to work in an organisation to gain both academic credit and work experience while undertaking research on a project related to domestic or international politics or some aspect of public policy under the supervision of both an academic and a designated workplace supervisor.

Note: Students enrolled in this course may not undertake an internship in their current place of work.

Assessment

Coursework only

Class limits for 2021: Enrolment is limited to 15 students. Students enrolled in the Master of Public Policy will be given priority entry to the course subject to the offer and acceptance of a suitable internship placement.. If places remain, other students will be enrolled in the following priority order:

1. Postgraduate students in Politics and International Relations, ranked by GPA.

2. All other students, identified by the Discipline Convenor as having sufficient background to enrol in the course, enrolled on a first-in, first enrolled basis.
