Description

A beginner's course using multi-media (computer) materials that presumes no prior knowledge of Russian, with emphasis on a range of language skills – listening comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, and the essential grammar of Russian.

You will need to complete a Language Proficiency Declaration to ensure you are enrolling in the right course for your level. This will be provided to you through Student Services Online after you have enrolled.

Richard Robin, Golosa ("Voices"): A Basic Course in Russian Book One, 5th ed.

A ten-unit textbook-workbook package that strikes a good balance between a rigorous treatment of grammar and a communicative approach. The course is supported with ample audio resources and video for practice and to bring the language alive.

RUSSIAN 100 covers Units 1–5 in Golosa; units 6–10 in the same textbook are covered in RUSSIAN 101 in Semester 2.
