Advanced Drama Directing (Screen)

Description

An advanced course designed to teach the directing of actors for screen and the relationships between performance, blocking and visual narrative. Emphasis will be placed on the finding and linking of style, content and intention. Students will act and direct in front of the class and workshop, write, direct and edit an original ten-minute dramatic short film.

Class limits for 2017: Enrolment is limited to 15 students, with selection based on eligibility for admission to a postgraduate programme in Screen Production and the qualitative evaluation of Portfolio submitted.
