Beginners' Spanish 1

Description
Designed for students who have no previous knowledge of the Spanish language. There are four class hours per week, with the oral component fully integrated into all. The teaching of Spanish grammar and vocabulary is reinforced through written exercises and assignments, aural and reading comprehension exercises, audio-visual work and practice using the Spanish 104 website. Students are encouraged to participate actively in class to develop their communicative skills, and attendance at all classes is strongly recommended. Spanish 104 aims to provide students with basic vocabulary and conversational skills. Note that it does not count towards a major in Spanish.
Semester 1 enrolment is limited to 210 students and admission is on a first-come, first-enrolled basis.
